About Us

Originally a grocery store, H. Hamada Store, catered to local clientele on Queen St. since 1958 and closing its doors in 2007. Hamada General Store is now a take out/catering restaurant rooted in the same values as the original H. Hamada Store, proudly serving the community with Aloha.

Hamada General Store was founded by Cuatro Food, Inc. in 2008 by Neil Nakasone, John Estrella and Brandon Hamada. All three partners met and opened the Pineapple Room at Macy’s in 1999. In 2008, they set out to change the food demographics of Sports Bars in Hawaii by opening both Kanpai and Home Bar & Grill.

Our vision is to carry on the legacy of providing good food with a sense of place, always served with Aloha.
